Tuned in Muisc and Media is a full service recording studio featuring Pro Tools|HD® 2 Accel system Designed to give both artists a relaxed environment to record with outstanding sound by utilizing a hybrid of analog and digital gear. Additionally any project that necessitates the need of remote collaboration or final delivery can utilize the studio’s FTP server, where files can be exchanged in a multitude of formats, sample / bit rates and platforms via a high bandwidth internet connection. Other services include video editing, web design & remote studio session musicians (via the FTP server and other delivery methods).
Tuned in Trax a division of Tuned in Music and Media is able to provide artists and bands with high quality individual tracks played by session musicians that can be imported to your DAW of choice.
Are you tired of step or keyboard tap programming MIDI drum parts into your DAW? Then after hours of work trying to make them sound “real” they still sound like they were programmed. And while drum loops are another option it can be a daunting task of auditioning loop after loop and not quite having them match the feel of your song. Or maybe you don’t have the access to multiple quality microphones, preamps, ADDA converters & live room. . . . let alone a “real” drummer. Now what if you could have a “real” studio session drummer play on your tracks including the studio time? The drum tracks will be played along to your click / guide track and you will will receive individual tracks (kick, snare top, snare bottom, 2 rack & 1 floor tom, stereo overheads, high hat & mono room microphone) ready to import into your DAW of choice.
Furthermore you could compliment your drum tracks with bass guitar played by a professional session player. You will receive two individual tracks (1 effected (amp modeled) and 1 DI track).
Other session players can be provided upon request.
In addition to studio session musicians we also provide remote mix down services. Have you ever tracked a session in your DAW and after many attempts at mixing it down you just can get it right? Or your mix is not portable? In other words it sounds OK on your studio speakers but then falls apart on your car, boom box, computer or stereo speakers? There are many factors that come into play. . . . knowledge, experience, monitors, the room, etc. Sometimes it may just be the fact that you are “burnt out” on a self written, recorded & produced song and by having a “fresh” set of ears mix it you regain the creativity plus a new perspective. The cost for this service vary according to track count so contact us today for a free estimate.
Once again there is something to be said for a “fresh” perspective. There are many “smoke and mirrors” that can breath life into a mix. If your individually tracked drum kit lacks the “slam” factor. The kick, snare & toms can be augmented with samples to be layered or replace the original track. We have a comprehensive sample library composed of custom and stock samples that fit a multitude of sounds and styles. We also offer digital editing services to polish your recordings to give them a more “commercial” sound: i.e. vocal pitch correction & comping, electronic harmony generation (Celemony Melodyne / Autotune Evox, TC Voice One) & drum timing correction (Manually Pocketing / Pro Tools Beat Detective / Elastic Time). For novices please understand for this to work effectively you need to “be in the ball park” and not in the parking lot. In other words even with the magic of digital editing you still need to be relatively close close in pitch and timing otherwise digital artifacts will occur.
Please note that all of our services are only available via remote and unattended sessions (in other words you will not be able to be present in the studio during the recording sessions). This enables us to work on many different projects concurrently within the same day. By doing this we are able to pass the savings on to our customers. Not to mention artists and bands have access to our services globally with the ability of delivering your project right to your computer via the internet for final approvals.
Studios do you need access to session musicians or have an overflow of editing / mixing? We offer a “niche” of services that may enable you to focus in other areas of your studio.
